These updates are only for BUILDER Version 2.2. If you do not have this version, you may contact Lynn Brownfield with the University of Illinois at 217-244-7666. If you install this patch for a version other than 2.2, you will render your install of BUILDER non-functional.

Each of the following BUILDER Update Files has a last modified date, an explanation of what it is, and installation instructions on how to update it onto your PC. Click on the link under the installation instruction of the file that you would like to update to start each update process. There are two update files which are zip files and are in a zipped format; therefore you will need to use WinZip or a similar unzipping program after you have downloaded the file onto your computer.

Each of these files are contained in a folder in the BUILDER file structure default path (C:\____). Most of these files you will have to find the existing occurance of the file in the folder on your own PC and simply replace them with the new file, which is located on this update page. The following paragraphs contain the name of the update file, the last modified date, and the installation instructions for each update file. Please read the installation instructions for each update file below to install the updates:

Update File Name: Lookup.mdb
Last Modified Date: March 25, 2009
File Explanation: This file contains inventory information including data from MicroROOFER™and is appended to continually.
Installation Instructions: BUILDER and BUILDER RED each have their unique set of this file. If you use both programs, each Lookup file must be replaced with the new file. For BUILDER, go the the directory C:\Program Files\ERDC-CERL\Builder\System Tables folder, replace the old Lookup.mdb file with the following updated file. For BUILDER RED, go the the directory C:\Program Files\ERDC-CERL\BuilderRED\Database folder, replace the old Lookup.mdb file with the following updated file.

Update File Name: Reference.mdb
Last Modified Date: March 25, 2009
File Explanation: This file contains cost tables, inflation tables, service life data, and R.S. Means and is appended to continually.
Installation Instructions: If you have not changed any of the cost books, service life books, standards, policies, or prioritization schemes that were included with BUILDER 2.2, replace the old Reference.mdb with the following updated file. On the other hand, if you have made modifications to any of these, use the "Import Updated Reference Data" option in the "Tools" menu in BUILDER to import the new inventory items into your cost books. This option will update the Reference.mdb file while retaining your additions. BUILDER and BUILDER RED each have their unique set of this file. If you use both programs, each Reference file must be replaced with the new file.

Update File Name: Update.exe
Last Modified Date: June 28, 2004
File Explanation: This file contains major bug fixes associated with the current version.
Installation Instructions: Please run the Update.exe to update the BUILDER program files with the new versions to address the issues.

Update File Name: 060320 Inclusive Updates.zip
Last Modified Date: March 20, 2006
File Explanation: This is a zip file that contains the latest fixes.
Installation Instructions: After unzipping this file, there will be a list contained of DLL files and an EXE file. Simply replace these new files with the old version files. The DLL files are located in the C:\Program Files\ERDC-CERL\Builder\Servers folder. The EXE file is located in the C:\Program Files\ERDC-CERL\Builder folder.

Update File Name: BI22ModBR.zip
Last Modified Date: April 19, 2006
File Explanation: This is a zip file that contains a DLL file to fix paint issues.
Installation Instructions: After unzipping this file, there will be a DLL file. Simply replace this new file with the old version file. The DLL file is located in the C:\Program Files\ERDC-CERL\Builder\Servers folder.

Update File Name: Impact.mdb
Last Modified Date: June 2, 2006
File Explanation: This is a mdb file that contains latest version of the Impact file.
Installation Instructions: The MDB file is located in the C:\Program Files\ERDC-CERL\Builder\System Tables folder, replace the old Impact.mdb file with the following updated file.
